Washington Post: Invisible Children Celebrates Capture of LRA Commander
Tuesday, April 22, 2014: A junior commander with the Lord’s Resistance Army, Charles Okello, was seized in Uganda and 10 civilians were rescued. Aid for Africa member, Invisible Children, works to permanently end the atrocities caused by the LRA and warlord Joseph Kony.
The capture of Okello is an encouraging victory in the fight to bring Kony to justice and end the LRA, but villages continue to be terrorized and children taken as sex slaves and fighters. Read the Article
