World Bulletin: Breakthrough in Leprosy Research Could Lead to Vaccine
Friday, June 6, 2014: Scientist will begin toxicology tests on a possible vaccine for leprosy based on the genome of the bacteria that causes the disease. Leprosy is a debilitating disease that still affects millions in Africa and around the world. The vaccine research, led by the U.S., would finally help end the suffering of those affected. Aid for Africa member, American Leprosy Missions, has supported research for a vaccine for the past 100 years. Read the article
