PBS News Hour: Fistula Foundation Helps End the Devastating Impact of Fistula Through Surgery
Wednesday, December 27, 2017: Aid for Africa member Fistula Foundation was featured on the PBS News Hour for its work in Kenya helping women suffering from obstetric fistula, a wrenching childbirth injury that leaves over a million women incontinent and often, cast out from their communities. In the segment they visit an 88-bed hospital funded by the Foundation and discuss how their campaign to raise awareness has led to over 7,000 Kenyan women seeking surgery. We also hear from women who previously suffered from the affliction and now devote their lives to helping others. Watch the video.
