NPR: Medical Care Development International’s Program to Provide Latrines throughout Madagascar Benefits Women Greatly
Friday, September 25, 2015: Women are the big beneficiaries of Aid for Africa member Medical Care Development International’s project to ensure that all villages in Madagascar have closed-pit latrines and hand washing facilities. With out the privacy of latrines, women face fear and stress when searching for private places to deal with their sanitation and menstruation needs according to MCDI’s Program Director Dr. Rija Fanomeza.
