The Guardian: Survivor of War Rebuilds Healthcare in Home Country
Wednesday, October 8, 2014: Deogratias Niyizonkiza survived genocide in his native country, Burundi, and years later created Aid for Africa member Village Health Works in an effort to rebuild the healthcare system of Burundi and end poverty. The majority of people in Burundi live in poverty and Niyizonkiza has made it his mission to restore their dignity and include the community in the work of ending poverty. Read the article
