Fundraise For Aid for Africa
Are you interested in raising money to help empower African children, families and communities? As a fundraiser for Aid for Africa, you can solicit donations for our programs and raise awareness about Africa with your friends and family.
One of the most effective ways to do this is by holding an event and asking your friends and family to support us. Here are a few suggestions, but feel free to use your imagination!
- Donate your birthday – Ask friends and family to donate on your behalf to Aid for Africa in lieu of a birthday gift. The easiest way to do this is to set up a Facebook Fundraiser and designate Aid for Africa as the recipient.
- Volunteer – Do something good in your community and get people to support you by making a donation to Aid for Africa.
- Movie night – Show a movie in your home and “charge admission” by asking your guests to donate.
- Bike ride – Ask people to make a donation for each mile you complete.
You can also ask friends and family to make a donation in lieu of a gift for other special occasions, including weddings, Valentine’s Day, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.
To make it easy for your friends and family to donate, you can set up a fundraising page for your event through Crowdrise, a website Aid for Africa partners with for fundraising events. On your page, describe your fundraiser, accept and keep track of online donations, and email your friends and family about your progress. To get started, visit Aid for Africa on Crowdrise.
Other Ways to Give
If you don’t want to set up a fundraising page, you can collect checks from friends and family made payable to Aid for Africa with your event noted in the memo section. Send all of these checks in one package to Aid for Africa at the address below. We will confirm receipt and thank your donors individually.
