The Huffington Post: The Cradle Project Sponsored by Firelight Foundation and Aid for Africa Featured
Tuesday, July 24, 2012: The Huffington Post features The Cradle Project exhibit in Washington, DC, through August 3, which is cosponsored by Aid for Africa member Firelight Foundation, Aid for Africa, and the Washington Studio School during the 2012 International AIDS Conference. The exhibit brings together dozens of designs by artists around the nation ranging from elementary school classes to residents of homeless shelters to widely-exhibited professionals. Each offers their interpretation of the tragedy — and hope — represented by each orphaned child. The Firelight Foundation estimates that there are 12 million AIDS orphans in Sub Saharan Africa.
