New York Times: Worldwide Fistula Fund and the Fistula Foundation Help Young Women Find Healing and Hope
Saturday, July 13, 2013: Nicholas Kristof praises Aid for Africa members Worldwide Fistula Fund and the Fistula Foundation for helping to establish the Danja Fistula Center in Niger, so that young women can be treated for fistula – a wrenching childbirth disease that leaves women incontinent and shunned from their community. In addition to repairing fistula, the center also conducts outreach to improve maternal health and encourage women to deliver in clinics.
