New York Times: charity: water Takes Millionaire Tech Moguls on Field Trip
Thursday, August 8, 2013: Scott Harrison, Founder of Aid for Africa member charity: water is profiled in the New York Times Magazine as he leads a group of 100 millionaires to rural Ethiopea so they can see first-hand the organization’s well projects and the lives transformed. The article describes Harrison’s transformation from night club promoter to architect of a new type of non-profit — one that is completely transparent and allows donors to give 100 percent to project of their choosing. To understand the importance of easily accessible clean water, the group carried the same heavy jerry cans filled with water that girls as young as 8 and 9 must carry every day. Read the article.
