National Geographic: “Lost Boy” and Founder of John Dau Foundation Discusses Current Crisis in South Sudan
Wednesday, January 8, 2014: An interview with John Dau Foundation founder, who escaped the conflict in South Sudan as a 12-year-old boy 20 years ago, covers the current internal conflict now underway in South Sudan, which is stirring old memories.
The John Dau Foundation, an Aid for Africa member, supports the Duk Medical Clinic in rural South Sudan. Dau says that the staff remain at the clinic and are providing food and medical services to refugees from the conflict. But, he adds, “If the war continues to go on for another two or three weeks, it’s going to be very tough for us—we are running out of medicine and food.” Read the article
